Announcing ASET’s Refined Aims & Scope for 2026: Sharpening Our Focus on Global Sustainability
Dear Authors, Reviewers, and Readers,
As the global landscape of engineering and technology evolves rapidly to meet critical environmental challenges, so too must the Journal of Advanced and Sustainable Technologies (ASET).
We are thrilled to announce that, effective January 2026, ASET is officially adopting a highly refined and focused Aims and Scope. This strategic update is designed to elevate the academic rigor of our publications, align our contributions directly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and strengthen our position as a leading platform for impactful engineering research.
What is Changing? To better serve our international readership and maintain the highest standards of thematic focus, ASET will now concentrate exclusively on the intersection of advanced engineering and environmental sustainability.
Moving forward, all accepted manuscripts will be organized into Five Core Thematic Pillars:
-
Sustainable & Advanced Manufacturing
-
Smart Energy & Electrification
-
Intelligent Systems for Sustainability
-
Circular Economy & Resource Engineering
-
Resilient Infrastructure & AgriTech
To protect the integrity of these pillars, our Editorial Board will be implementing a stricter screening process. Submissions that fall under general management, social sciences, routine operational case studies, or pure sciences without a clear, demonstrable link to sustainable technology applications will now be immediately returned to authors without review.
We encourage all prospective authors to thoroughly review our updated Aims and Scope page and our detailed "Out of Scope" guidelines before submitting their next manuscript.
Join Us in Shaping a Sustainable FutureThis refined direction marks an exciting new chapter for ASET as we actively pursue broader international indexing (including Scopus) and global reach. We invite researchers, industrial practitioners, and policy-makers from around the world to submit their highest-quality, SDG-driven technological research to ASET.
Thank you for your continued support, dedication to peer review, and commitment to sustainable innovation.
