Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

The publisher will edit your file to make sure every article follows the same style. Figures in gif, jpg, ps, or eps format should be included in the manuscript file. Also, Paper size is European A4. Margins are 4cm (top), 2.5cm (left and right) and 2.7cm (bottom). Text is single-spaced, double-column and all pages are portraits.

TITLE: Should be brief, specific, informative, and appropriate for indexing.

 

AUTHORS' NAME AND AFFILIATION: The paper includes the author name and affiliation (full address including country).

 

ABSTRACT: An abstract not exceeding 300 words one column (equivalent to a page width) that summarizes the principal techniques and conclusions of the manuscript in relation to known results. Because the abstract must be able to stand independently, mathematical formulas and bibliographic references should be kept to a minimum; bibliographic references must be written out in full (not given by number).

 

KEYWORDS: Place not less than three keywords below the abstract. Keywords are essential for the indexing and accessibility of your article.

LIST OF SYMBOLS: The manuscript should contain a list of all symbols been used. They should be identified typographically for the printer, not mathematically. This list will not appear in your manuscript file as it is.

 

FOOTNOTES: Text footnotes should be avoided whenever possible. If they must be used, indicate them by superscript numbers in the text, and type them all double-spaced on a separate page.

 

FIGURES: Each figure should have a brief caption describing it and, if necessary, a key to interpret the various lines and symbols on the figure. If a figure has parts these should be labelled as (a), (b), (c) etc. on the actual figure. Parts should not have separate captions.

 

REFERENCES: List separately at the end of the manuscript, number consecutively and use appropriate number to locate references in text. A complete reference should provide the reader with enough information to locate the article concerned, whether published in print or electronic form, and should, depending on the type of reference, consist of:

•        name(s) and initials;

•        date published;

•        title of journal, book or other publication;

•        titles of journal articles may also be included (optional);

•        volume number;

•        editors, if any;

•        town of publication and publisher in parentheses for books;

•        the page numbers



COPYRIGHT: All authors must understand that submission of a Transfer of Copyright agreement must take place before the manuscript can be published. This transfer agreement enables IJACT to protect the copyrighted material for the authors, but authors retain significant rights to use and share their own published articles.
