Low Back Pain Among Taxi Drivers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport: A Preliminary Cross-Sectional Study

This study investigates the prevalence and risk factors associated with low back pain among limousine taxi drivers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Malaysia. A quantitative methodological approach with cross-sectional design, data were collected through structured questionnaires from a sample of 47 drivers. These findings underscore the importance of ergonomic interventions, health education, and regular monitoring for low back pain prevention among professional drivers. Targeted occupational health strategies could improve drivers' well-being and job satisfaction, reducing the economic burden associated with low back pain in the transportation sector. In order to reduce the risk of low back pain among drivers, future initiatives should emphasize on healthy lifestyle choices, ergonomic enhancements in vehicle design, and routine health examinations. Reducing the frequency of low back pain and improving the general well-being of this occupational group depend on addressing these problems.
