Abstract

This paper compares ergonomic principles applied to school furniture design across Europe, the USA, and Asia. The study examines the influence of cultural, economic, and educational systems on furniture design, emphasizing the role of ergonomics in improving student health, comfort, and learning outcomes. By reviewing the historical development, current standards, and emerging trends in school furniture, this paper highlights regional disparities in ergonomic considerations and suggests strategies for optimizing furniture designs to enhance student well-being and academic performance. The findings offer important insights into the integration of ergonomic principles into educational environments globally and provide recommendations for future research and policy-making in school design.
